Google To Launch "Google Me", the Facebook Killer?

Google's desire to become the Internet giant is not only limited to search engines alone. Apparently they also want to control almost all fields, including social networking service.

And everyone knows, the current king of social networking services are still held by Facebook, which currently has 500 million accounts. Google was challenged to create a kind of networking service, so they can stop the hegemony of the site created by Mark Zuckberg.

According to a rumor, Google was preparing a new social networking platform called Google Me.

The news itself is pretty lively discussion, after the founder of Digg Kevin Rose's site, which cited Gizmodo, Monday (28/06/2010) claim to obtain reliable information source that says that Google Me is a new social networking features that will be launched by the California based company.

If this rumor is true, of course there are people who would like it, though some people would not be interested. One of the features in Gmail, Google Buzz is not so successful, even though the service is a type of social networking platforms.
