Motorola i1, Push-to-talk Smart Phone with Military Specification

Motorola I1 will be the first Android smartphone features push-to-talk service from Nextel Direct Connect. Other interesting features of this Android OS 1.5 mobile phone are some military specifications which hold all conditions.


The phone is equipped with military specifications that provide protection against dust, shocks and even the rain, which makes Motorola I1 become an ideal choice for users who may be experiencing extreme or challenging conditions, and is suitable for the soldiers.

As quoted from Gear Log, this device has a 1.3 inches HVGA touch screen display and 5-megapixel camera with flash, 4x digital zoom, and geo-tagging capabilities. This phone also comes with 1.400 mAh battery which is expected active for 200 minutes of talk time and a microSD slot that support 32GB capacity.

The Motorola i1 provides some default applications like Google apps, users can also find the Swype virtual keyboard, and Opera Mini 5 mobile browser. Some applications are also now available from Sprint, including Sprint Mobile Locator, TeleNavTrack for mobile employees, as well as asset management and Xora mobile workforce solutions.

These applications offer features such as wireless barcode scanning, signature and automated process designed to improve the efficiency of mobile workers.
